The players at the back are getting more honours than the forwards as defender Mazher Ali from Friends FC wins the Best Player of the Week award. Possessing a strong and a dominant left foot, Mazher Ali emerged as the top full-backs in the Honda HFL.
Hosting The Outlaws at Cyclone Football Turf in the derby last week, Abrar was the lone scorer in a match where both teams were at their defensive best. The team also got one over Deccan Sporting, the league favorites, in a 1-0 win.
Ali has impressed the team with his ability to chip in with goals and assists along with defensive contributions.
