Fortnite is constantly adding skins to its Battle Royal mode and more recently the game has added in a handful of crossover characters. Last season the Battle Pass included Deadpool and in Season 3 the game has added Aquaman to the mix. Although, the newest addition looks to be more of a coincide but it’s just too close not to see the similarities.

Twitter user @HayseedHere pointed out that a leaked skin, named Dad Bod Jonesy, looks undoubtedly similar and almost a carbon copy of “Fat Thor.” For the uninformed, Jonesy is the name of the popular, blonde default skin who recently appeared as an office worker in Fortnite’s The Device event. Dad Bod Jonesy has disheveled hair, an unkempt beard, a gut spilling over his shorts, and a long, untied robe to complete the look. To top it off, this new look for Jonesy has a pocket full of french fries that closely resembles “Fat Thor’s” need to have some kind of food or beverage with him at all times.
By now it seems like everyone, at least according to Box Office numbers, has seen Avengers: Endgame. But, for those who haven’t yet, here is a small spoiler. After the events of Avengers: Infinity War and the first 20 minutes of Avengers: Endgame plus the time jump, the unlikely duo of “Smart” Hulk and Rocket Raccoon are looking for their buddy Thor. Only to find that Thor has really let himself go and is no longer an incredibly in-shape God but more of a couch potato covered in melted ice cream. The five years after killing Thanos and initially failing turned the once fun-spirited Thor into a depressed shell of himself, “Fat Thor.”
Until Epic comments or confirms that this is somehow official, this leaked skin is merrily a coincidence. However, it’s hard to deny that this look for Jonesy is taking inspiration from the down and out superhero. Fans of the Big Lowbaoski could also argue that the Dad Bod Jonesy skin was inspired by The Dude.
Fortnite is always looking to shake things up with crossover skins and events. It appears that players will soon be able to run a squad that consists of Deadpool, Batman, Aquaman, and soon Captain America as a skin for him leaked as well. At least Fortnite is able to give DC Comics and Marvel Comics fans the crossover battles that they’ve always wanted. For fans looking to play as the more gym-rat style of Thor, Marvel’s Avengers is releasing in September.
Fortnite is now available on iOS, Android, PC, Playstation 4, Switch, and Xbox One with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
