Reputable Nintendo leaker Samus Hunter has been talking about this new Animal Crossing: New Horizons update for months now, with their claims validated by Nintendo’s confirmation. Samus Hunter has since reshared some of the information they claim to know about the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons update and new content that’s supposedly planned for the game in a general sense.

Assuming Samus Hunter’s information is correct, it seems Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can look forward to the long-awaited return of Gyroids, as well as expansions for the Nook’s Cranny store and the Museum. The Animal Crossing character Kapp’n is also expected to make their return, though Samus Hunter believes that Kapp’n may be part of an update that comes later as opposed to the November update.
Other planned Animal Crossing: New Horizons features, according to Samus Hunter, are new crops for players to plant, the ability to cook, new emotions to use, and new furniture to collect. It’s unclear how much of this is going to be part of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons November update and how much will come at some point down the line, but fans will find out more when they tune in to the Animal Crossing Direct presentation on October 15.
Fans should always take “leaked” information like this with a grain of salt, but Samus Hunter’s track record has been pretty impressive so far. Samus Hunter previously leaked the Animal Crossing: New Horizons fall update that has since been confirmed by Nintendo, as well as the introduction of Brewster and his cafe. Considering this, it’s much easier to believe Samus Hunter’s claims than some of the other “leakers” online.
If Samus Hunter’s claims about the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons update are true, then fans of the franchise have a lot to look forward to. Whether or not this update will be enough to boost Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ record-breaking sales numbers remains to be seen, but it should bring back lapsed players that already have the game at the very least.
